Nyiragongo volcano eruption in Congo, Africa (May 23, 2021). Mount Nyiragongo: Lava destroys houses after DR Congo volcano erupts. After a large volcano erupted in the Democratic Republic of Congo, footage shows lava on nearby streets, houses on fire and a thick orange cloud over the eastern city of Goma. Thousands of people have fled their homes after fountains of lava burst from the Mount Nyiragongo.
After crossing a major highway, the lava advanced toward Goma, a city of two million people which was devastated by the last eruption, in 2002, when boiling lava smothered entire neighborhoods, killed several hundred people and left at least 100,000 homeless.
I will take a Hurricane over a lava flow any day.
Hey, just the other day a geologist or someone was telling them there was no danger to the city, that the lava was going in the other direction, so there was no need to fear or evacuate.
How long before they dump the refugees in my town?
No virgins remaining in Africa?
Doesn’t look like it was much of a city before the lava either.
It was Dr. COVID Himself.
Obviously Systemic Racism on the part of Ma Erf [having all of the Wypipo Privilege that she does].
Note to self - don’t buy property near a volcano.
“...boiling lava...”?
As opposed to non-boiling Lava?

“Experts”
Experts who dont live anywhere near it...
We’re there people killed?
This seems like a racist volcano
Goma had a huge refugee influx in 1994 during the Rwanda massacre. I was part of the relief effort that flew in tons and tons of foodstuff into Goma.
Whatever an “expert” says, do the opposite.

Well, government expert
Check out the last paragraph of the story. The World Bank had pulled funding from the volcano observatory over alleged corruption.
Great timing.
Wow, absolutely astonishing. The size of that lava flow is incredible. Those poor people (both senses of the word) lost everything and have nowhere to go. It’s amazing that, as poor as they are and in the midst of this crisis, they are all better dressed than most Americans.
