Can anti-Trump RINO Rep. Anthony Gonzalez survive a primary challenge?

Anthony Gonzalez, the RINO from Ohio, typifies all that is wrong with the established Republican Party.

You may recall that Rep. Anthony Gonzalez (RINO-Ohio) is one of ten Republican House members who voted to impeach President Trump after he left office on the bogus charge that he had incited the riot in the nation's capital on January 6. For this, Gonzalez was formally censured in early May by the Ohio Republican Party and asked to resign.

Far from being chastised, Gonzalez continued his vendetta against Trump and by extension MAGA-supporters. He next voted for the Democrat resolution to establish a commission to investigate the January 6 fracas. Nancy Pelosi, chief proponent of the commission, says the commission will be "independent and bipartisan." Who in his right mind could believe Pelosi on this? Was there anything remotely fair or honest in the way Pelosi's House of Representative held its two Trump impeachment trials?

In reality, the January 6 commission will function as a red herring designed to advance the Democrat agenda going into the 2022 election. The commission will be to focus media attention on the false Democrat argument that the events on January 6 constituted an insurrection. By any objective standard, it did not. All the ensuing kabuki theatrics will be a replay of the Russian collusion hoax, with the corporate media aggressively pushing the Democrat agenda. This will be done with the intent to take the spotlight off the mounting failures of the Harris/Biden administration. And for this, Gonzalez voted "yes."

It is interesting to hear Gonzalez's spurious argument as to why he shouldn't be purged from the Republican Party or primaried.

Florida Rep is beyond a RINO. She supports Dems far more than normal RINOs

Tom Reed won’t be running again for his House seat. Or for gov. He was outted as, at the very least, a drunken grocery.

Why he’s still voting the way he is makes no sense unless he’s got something more to lose.

Wonder what that is...

That list is what happens when citizens let the uniparty pick their candidates for them.

Within weeks, Maria Elvira Salazar (FL-27 Miami-Coral Gables) became an enormous disappointment. If it weren’t for Trump, she wouldn’t even be in Congress. She ran against Shalala in 2018 and lost by more than 15K votes. With Trump on the same ticket, she wins by 9K votes. While Trump didn’t win that district, he did better than any Republican candidate has in decades and improved his 2016 results by 10-points, which is an enormous improvement over a 4-year span. Those people weren’t voting for her. They were voting for Trump and she benefited.

I don’t know if that’s true for anyone else on that list, but it wouldn’t surprise me if it were true.

Give me a Democrat over these bums, any day of the week. At least with a D there is no pretense or backstabbing.

I hope the folks in Ohio have heard the rumors that Gonzalez is heavily involved in child sex trafficing in the most recent illegal immigrant invasion. An anonymous source, a disaffected former Gonzalez campaign worker, has come forward saying the Mexican cartels have contributed to Gonzalez's campaign. The sex and drug money are the primary methods used to influence Gonzalez for return votes favorable to the cartel's "business". Additionally, it is rumored that Gonzalez has a number of shell businesses used to launder drug money from cartels with operations in Cleveland.

See how easy that is to do folks. That's called using the same weapons as the enemy. Rumors and anonymous sources that do not exist. It's time to turn the table.

Wait until later in the day when I’ll have a drink or two. I’ll be much more creative then.

Interesting that two out of the four R congressthings from Arkansas supported it and one from Mississippi. For some reason, I thought these were Deep Red states that Trump won by 60 percent.

“Interesting that two out of the four R congressthings from Arkansas supported it and one from Mississippi.”

I’d add to your list of “interesting” the name of Stephanie Bice of OK-5, also one of the 35 RINOs in this vote. Bice got her shot at Congress by defeating another RINO who got only 1-term for being one of Pelosi’s minions. Bice used all the right words to get elected and then turns around with a partisan knife in her hands 5 months later. Trump took every county in OK in both 2016 and 2020 yet she seems incapable of the simplest political calculation about where her bread is buttered. She has chosen not to dance with those who brought her to the dance.

True. But we had wasted impeachment hearings and now a January 6th commission. All three wouldn’t have happened with a house GOP majority.

Do you have a link to official voting list. When I saw my rep, Stephanie Bice’s pic, I was floored. I looked and her press release said she was voting no. I’ve never heard she voted different.
Here’s a link to the press release: https://bice.house.gov/media/press-releases/bice-statement-impeachment-vote

These child sex-trafficking allegations involving Anthony Gonzalez (Assistant Democrat-Ohio) are disgusting.

He should resign immediately.
