so you are suggesting taking 60000 iu's? and no downside?
RDA is 600 IU. You’re already taking 10 times that amount.
My brother in law has a severe problem absorbing vitamin D, which caused bone and teeth issues.
The Dr gave him a script for a weekly vitamin D “bomb” 50,000 units. He has been on it for years.
FYI, he is over 60, got covid and his only symptoms were headache and the taste thing.
Have you had your D3 levels been tested? That’s best way to know how much to take...I require about 10,000iu a day to maintain level between 60-80 ... people are different
5000 IU D3 caps are readily available, if that’s what you want.
the RDA is 800 per day for adults over 70- so 6000 is probab;y pretty good- you are probab;y not deficient
I would say for anyone who does NOT think they’ve had enoug vitamin D to try 50,000 a day for one week.
No it will not harm you BUT YOU WILL NEED TO TAKE MAGNESIUM!!!
I am not a doctor and I dont even play one on TV. But I was deficient and i did this and I noticed a huge benefit.
HINT: You know you are getting enough Vitamin D when you start having pleasant dreams.
