You make my case for me this is part of the problem men/Boys are taught that they have no responsibilities to the children they sire. They owe nothing and can simple walk away an what ever happens to the child is none of their responsibility. Thats what is wrong with todays culture to many men and boys think that. As far as the girl it seems to me she at least made a considerable effort to try and do what was best for the child. She took responsibility and acted bravely especially when you consider the mental and physical state she was in at the time. The child is as much the fathers as it is the mothers, but the easier thing to do is just walk or run away an that is the cowardly act that I am condemning.
She did what was right for the infant.
Reference comment about boys, please consider this: women have all the power, they can decide to murder their baby and he has no say. . .and maybe after being told they are irrelevant, no say so about the baby, maybe they are that way because they are marginalized and after a life of being told “my body my choice and you have no say so,” they get with the program.
Not excusing everything, but I think it is a complex issue.
Do you have some information about the father that is not presented in this piece? Otherwise, you are just making a lot of assumptions.
And just WHAT would you have the father do? I repeat, there was NO RAPE!! The girl consented and no one claims the father was an adult but you want him jailed while at the same time praise the mother.
