Unlike a nuclear detonation, RfG is a shaped detonation penetrating into the ground.
There will be a crater, yes.
It will be MUCH deeper and not as wide as a nuclear detonation.
And, several meters underneath the observable bottom will be compressed.
It could probably collapse a mountain stronghold DUMB...in NorKo.

Remember though, that was expended over a very large area. Joules per square meter the rod is probably minimum several orders of magnitude higher.
