A Colorado school bus driver was arrested on Wednesday after he admitted to slapping a 10-year-old girl for how she was wearing her face mask. Jaquez Bertram Armand, 63, was captured on surveillance cameras hitting the girl in April in Fremont County.

The school’s response was pathetic.
Yes, fired the driver...but went on to blame the child victim because “we need everyone to follow the rules so that we can be safe”.
Full statement from the Skrule District:
“We believe it is never okay to lay a hand on a child,” the statement said. “The District responded quickly to the situation by placing the driver on administrative leave so that we could fully investigate the incident. Local police were involved during the investigation as well as us being in contact with the child’s family.”
“The driver’s action justified termination of employment, as it goes against District policy and our values. We are very saddened by this incident. Our goal every day is to transport students safely to school and back home, but that can only happen when everyone, including students and staff, follows the rules. We are currently working to identify next steps to help our drivers with strategies designed to support a safe ride to and from school.”

Charge him with assault on a minor and as part of his sentencing he has to wear a mask for the maximum sentence time frame while he’s in prison or out on parole afterward.
Who else’s child has he slapped in anger, while serving as a bus driver? They should be asking him that question.
Not everything gets recorded on those bus cameras.
There are usually several blind spots.

This guy is not 63 years old. He may be 23 but not 63.
