It has a future, though a restricted one. Fleets? Doubtful when it comes to most. I know fleet guys that drive 1,000-1,500 miles a week. They don’t want to charge 3-8 times a week. I know, 300 mile range. The range under less than perfect conditions will be the key.

On the other hand, there are a lot of trucks bought today that don’t work. They carry some bags of garden soil home from Ace Hardware every spring. For those truck people, this could be a great solution. Also, I think Tesla just got bumped right out of the pickup truck biz. When it comes to pickups the Ford brand is untouchable.

Yeah, if I’m working the oil fields in North Dakota it’s not a good option.

But if I’m running a carpentry business in Dallas I’m going to save a bunch of money by using this truck, plus I have a place to charge my tools.

I know fleet guys that drive 30-50 miles a day.

For many businesses they will be at a cost disadvantage if they buy a combustion truck.

The savings on fuel and maintenance is just too high.
