This kid’s parents should tell him to be ready for some form of teacher retaliation. Don’t take it too personally. Most teachers show little capacity for humility, grace or tolerance when shown as the hypocrites they often are.

Regardless, if I was to debate in a board room I sure don't want a kid in frnt of me regurgitating what he's practiced with his parents. We have enough nonsense with kids seeking celebrity status on camera

I don’t know if you watched the whole video, but after the speech part at the school board he was part of an interview on camera and, for his age, quite well spoken and animated. I think he’ll grow into a well adjusted intelligent man. Of course he shouldn’t be making important decisions at this age but we all have a right to our own opinions, especially those that directly impact us. The school forces him to do something he hates. He has two choices - comply or complain.

Sure, I can’t argue with that. But again, those days are over. The school is weaponizing the kid. The parents are almost forced to weaponize him back. Put a human face on it, a kid’s face, to show the world what damage the school is doing to children. I don’t think this will do the kid any harm. Maybe add a little too much arrogance to his ego but he will learn from that too. He will learn a lot from the experience. He will become “socialized” so to speak, in what I think ultimately will be good for him as he grows up.

An adze is an important tool in shipbuilding, I’ve heard. But it’s dangerous to the wielder if he doesn’t take care.

Tell that to Camera Hogg and Greta Thurnberg. Kids as props is a disgusting idea. But so was poison gas in the trenches during WW I. They threw down first. Time to fire back. Which is disgusting, but it’s about the kids, so at least it’s relevant what kids think.
