We can see our military is in trouble just by looking at these military commericals in different countries. China and Russia look more like the military commericals we saw in the past.
Today it is cartoons and appealing to leftist ideas.
What makes you think its our military any more. These are three regimes who do not feel shackled by their electorate. They vote to make the populous feel good. Then they do what they want.
That is just sad on every level.
Twice we hit Chinese shipping boats. Twice. They know the US navy is incompetent. All that technology on our boats means nothing when an affirmative action psycho is at the helm.
It’s so pathetic there’s really no way to substantively comment on it.
It has always been the intention of the Left, which has seized power, to severely weaken the American military. At their core the Left hates America.
We still have better gadgets than do the Chinese or the Russians. But as CodeToad noted, a gadget is only as good as the gadget operator.
As Bane said to Batman, ‘victory has defeated you.’
America has the most effective formidable military machine in the history of the world. This has resulted in victory after victory, with any setbacks primarily being due to political weakness and not anything to do with the actual military.
The spate of near-constant wins have made the political elite feel that winning is a permanent situation rather than something that has to be constantly worked on. Something to be affirmed and reaffirmed through hard focused effort, daily.
This has resulted in the political elite feeling that a) there is a ‘peace dividend’ (a myth), b) that we will always win (another myth, since winning is a result of a lot of hard work/preparation/tech leadership/top training/and many other things) and c) an assumption that America’s enemies will always be some ragtag unwashed goat herder with a kalashnikov and a suicide belt.
And that is the issue …that as America has been winning and smiting the likes of Iraq and Afghanistan, America’s near-peer adversaries have been watching.
They have seen America devastate the KARI integrated air defense system over Baghdad ranging from SEAD to stealth, they have seen the decentralized magic of America’s special mission units, they have seen the use of technology, seen tactics, and a whole host of other factors. They have learned, and incorporated some of that into their own methods by either aping what is good or realizing they have some exploitable weaknesses to be resolved.
This doesn’t mean they would win. Even at its weakness America is still better.
But it will cost American lives.
“We still have better gadgets than do the Chinese or the Russians.”
We used to. Not any more. We failed to protect our nation. We let in all kinds of spies, read: workers, from China and other nations the Chinese and Russians used to gain full access and information about all of our classified systems.
We even build the primary electronic components in China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore, and India. There is not a single technological advancement that China and Russia do not have in their possession.
The Chinese now have radar, secure communications, rockets, satellites, and other advanced technologies that are every bit as good as our own. How? Because they built theirs from our components that we paid them to make. That was the plan all along. China bought out Bill Clinton in 1993 and products were made in China from then on.
In 1993, 80% of Chinese people lived in poverty. Due to Bill Clinton selling us out through Wal-Mart and other large retailers, 80% of Chinese today live better than we do.
Don’t for a second underestimate the Chinese capability. We have a 300 ship Navy full of fags and AA types while China has a 700 ship Navy and growing rapidly that is full of warriors that want to kill us.
