The New York Times has finally gone on record to admit that the infamous "Steele Dossier" was a fabricated piece of propaganda that was designed to smear President Donald Trump. The NY Times was a major promoter of the now-debunked conspiracy theory that President Trump colluded with Russia to win the election in 2016.

If these can be proven to be intentional or due to incompetence I'd be in favor of allowing some significant libel suites to occur and any Trump voter should be granted standing as these effected elections.

Nope. They are merely pushing their cover story now. Steele was “tricked” by Russian disinformation. This still makes Steele and more importantly, the FBI into well meaning patriots who were duped, not into the plotting conspirators they actually were.
There was no “source”. Steele composes it with input from fusion GPS. End of story.
Just like the New York Times’ character.
This is merely the NYT updating the Russia lie and moving to protect the FBI and Steele.
