As a Big Broadcast fan it is your duty to "Murray Watch" when listening to the Big Broadcast. If/when you hear Murray needlessly injecting politics or cultural division into the Big Broadcast, or simply saying something stupid in general, go to the current show's page, click on the "Reach out to us" tab and file a complaint. It is worth your time to do this and you're protecting the integrity of the Big Broadcast.

Meh. 😐 The Ren Fest went about as well as Thanksgiving, the Blue Ridge mountain cabin, Christmas, and Orlando. This COVID crap has people so ready to get out of the house, we got caught in a three mile traffic backup. I made it there just in time to get my bracelet and a souvenir mug. (Which, BTW, wasn't even a 2021 mug. It was one of last year's engraved mugs, which I already bought from their store on the cheap.) I've been house-bound so long, I atrophied. I made it as far as the last tavern when I had to use the privy (after an interlude with a decidedly NR-rated but funny and talented troubadour), and lost the rest of the pack. I sat there for two hours, sweating, before Connie and the grandson found me. By then, I was pass out dizzy. I told her I was so weak, I was going back to the truck, get some food and another properly dated ceramic stein for me and I'll be waiting. 45 minutes later, she shows up with........a cold soft pretzel. I said, where there hell is my smoked turkey legge? My knave sammich? Scotch egg? Baked mac and cheese on a stick? A pirate's hat or a mead stein? A Viking rune necklace? "Oh, all the lines are a hundred people long! We'll be here all day!"

*sigh*

Cold pizza for dinner. When I go fishing next week, I go alone, even if it means they find my bear-gnawed carcass three days dead under a pine tree. Too many damn people to try and please, and I get bupkis for the effort. And I'm the one trying to get a little enjoyment to begin with, but everyone wants to hitch their wagon to mine and then steal the reins from me.

“hitch their wagon to mine and then steal the reins from me.”

This is what it’s like in the dating world. Yes you deserve some time alone. Maybe a trip.

Yep. I've got everything from one-off flings to a few shack-ups to three engagements to two marriages under my belt. Been there, lived that. I remember sitting there yesterday, looking at all the lovely, young, and loosely-clad lasses wandering by, and then getting depressed because I'm too old, too gimpy, and too married to put my best hair metal 80's moves on them. Which would carbon-date me right out of the gate. Women my age who got one of those tats across the top of their chests when they were 19 have them sagging just above their bellybuttons now. LOL!

Well, time to clean up after The Queen. She took tomorrow off and went to bed early. My step-daughter (Mama Deadbeat) found a way to slip on the top stair at work and did a complete roll-down to the bottom, tearing her meniscus in the process, so Connie has to give her a ride to the hospital at 6 AM to get it repaired. And she'd just gotten back from a three day trip to Gatlinburg. She brought Connie a pint jar of Old Smoky Mountain Java Moonshine that is delicious but flammable. Imagine a mocha shake you could light with a match.
