You know, I was just minding my own business, and you pinged me. But at your suggestion, I did scan through some of your recent posts, and can see that this is just your M.O. You just repeat the same talking points and opinions, and if anyone disagrees with you, you immediately go for the ad-hominem. “troll” “branch covidians”, etc.

You seem uninterested in any actual discussion, just in throwing verbal brickbats, seemingly at random.

So, excuse me if I am unable to appreciate your brilliant insights and elegant expository prose. I’ll keep right on, and will make my best efforts to ignore your disruptive behavior in the future.

But most people when they ask for why something is believeable, and are told that two Nobel prize winners in their fields endorse the idea, don't go on and pretend to have not heard, and repeat the same "fake-wide-eyed innocent" questioner persona on another thread.

They respond like "Gee, Two Nobel Prize winners? Got a link?" or at least make a courtesy reference the next time they're in a thread on the topic.

But TROLLS just repeat their original "oh I'm so new at these, I just have a *couple* of simple questions" (which reinforce the preferred narrative).

What our elites get out of this episode is a rationale for lockdowns, and the possibility of pointing to “climate improvement” as an excuse for longer-term restrictions on travel. This leads me to ponder whether or not the actual motive here is more complex, what China gained has been covered in this thread, but what our elites gained might be this ongoing downturn in air travel and a more confined population generally reduced in their mobility. Also some members of our elites just happened to be highly invested in the few companies that would profit from this event.

People tend to view this as a conspiracy theory, but I do have to ask this question — if powerful, well-connected people with success in business state in public their great concern about climate change and overpopulation (and meat eating and all the other details) then why do we routinely dismiss theories that they might be behind this episode? Are they not powerful enough? Are they not motivated enough? Why do we dismiss?

Because we don’t want to face the truth, that powerful people in our supposedly free society have taken it over and are using the government for their own purposes. This is essentially a revolution.
