They love them...as long as they don’t have to see them.

...fierce blowback from residents — who fear it’ll turn public spaces into hotbeds for crime without addressing the underlining issues causing homelessness.

Interesting that it wasn't a problem until the homeless started becoming more visible in their neighborhoods.

Hi.

I got an idea. Barges. Just like “home.”. Facilities like heads, galleys and assorted other amenities like bunks, showers , recreation and basic medical care.

Anchor the barge 12 miles out, supply it with food, toilet paper, booze and drugs. Two trips ashore by launch every day and no more.

Problems solved.

Here’s how this works: In the 1970s and ‘80s, liberals succeeded in getting a vast number of mental hospitals closed for “humanitarian” reasons.

• Homelessness is in large part a mental health problem.
• More mental hospitals could solve a great deal of the problem.
• But the main attribute of liberals is they cannot admit they were wrong about anything, ever. Ever.
• Therefore, mental hospitals will remain closed for “humanitarian” reasons, and the homeless will continue to multiply.

There’s no such thing as “government-owned” in the United States. It’s citizen-owned. Residents need to send the homeless to the mayor’s house. Let them camp out in the yard.

here is my proposal. I live in California so I have a good idea how angry my proposal will make the left and the right...

Require that every gated community house a one long term homeless person that has a drug charge (2 or more years homeless)for every 10 in residence.... I am sick of the legislature not taking care of this problem. I unfortunately do not have a gate on my community. this means that my condo has homeless going through my garbage can and camping out in my neighborhood. If you go to the freeway which is a block away and you have a tent town filled with garbage that periodically is cleared out by the police and highway patrol. The place is so dirty that they have to wear hazmat suits. this encampment always returns.

The parks in my town that are not behind private gates have become a place to buy varies drugs. they are not safe for parents to take there small children to. The big problem is that those who control how homeless is dealt with are the ones who have walled themselves off from the problem.

Who would have guessed that all those big parks that were reserved in cities for 'green space' would someday become colonies of homeless Democrat voters.

Beaches are generally not centrally located to convenient social services. If the object is to put citizens into the social service system and get them off the street, that is. Then there’s the loss to the city of property and retail taxes as the businesses and homes around beach areas are devalued - owners wise enough to know there’s more than one beach in the world. But maybe turning LA 100% welfare-majority latino instead of 70% latino is the goal as mexican colonialism and the destruction of western culture marches north from San Diego?

And to turn environmentalists on their heads - homeless encampments on beaches is a direct danger to dune and tital pool life - tidal pool life seen by some cultures as a delicacy to be harvested with impunity simply because it’s there, in contrast to the look-don’t-touch, leave for others to enjoy, credo of American culture.

I can fix the Homeless problem in Los ANgeles in 6 months easy!

1. Turn the Coliseum into a Giant Camp, round up all the homeless and lock them in there with social workers of course to care for their needs.

2. Every Friday Night just before Dark, Every Police Agency in the County brings ALL Opiates, Fentanyl, Heroin..., a Large supply of needles and GIVE IT AWAY IN THE COLISEUM. Within 3 months the number of Homeless should be significantly reduced and manageable.

3. Tell USC if they ever want to use the Coliseum again they need to hold ALL Psychiatry, Psychological and Social Work classes At the Coliseum with LIVE Subjects, time to Put what you Teach into Practice and Rehabilitate these people. I would also have Every Social Worker in the County stationed there FULL TIME where they are needed.

4 Continue giving away the Dangerous Drugs
