Sadly, it appears that Blue Blood is being infiltrated too :/

You might not like westerns and rural sitcoms but the purge of them from network TV was the beginning of 50 years of Hollyweird brain rotting garbage. Mayberry for Maude! I haven’t watched that crap in decades. How are they weaving their perversions, racism and the war against American men into sci-fi nowadays?

This season is unwatchable. It’s turned into the ultimate BLM social justice anti white show ever.

That was an outstanding show with excellent theme music.

“The Blacklist” is a great show. It’s in its 8th season now but Netflix may have the previous seasons.

Blacklist seems tailor made for Spader. No other actor could play that role as well.

So true they start strong and the do the “ boil the frog” by pushing messages and inserting the abnormal as normal

Hoping that the woke message is absorbed and use by viewers to convert non viewers

Netflix for us too at least there are series with no messaging especially the historic ones

Agree city on the hill has you backing the black DA as he fights for justice based on principle and not his skin.

Kevin Bacon plays a great sleazy FBI agent and the win at any cost dirty tricks plays out like today’s corrupt agency

Some of the other characters go woke but their actions, drug dealing , shootings, and even theft of property owners money by the women leader overshadow their others semingly caring intent

.......

Agree. Tantalizing twists. Who will win Liz or Red

The directors keep you guessing and have great back stories as Red feed them the latest lister

Saw a good Russian TV series on Youtube called “Second Sight” about a blind detective who uses his other senses and instincts to solve crimes.

For TV shows, I’m drawn to police procedural like L&O etc. Although (plz no one get on me). I love the Handmaids Tale.

The Americans is an amazing show. It is obviously fictional but based on a real historical spy program. The characters are excellent, and I’ve never seen another TV show or movie that gets Russia, Russians (and their mentality), and the Russian language so spot-on accurate.

I don’t know how you lasted past the first episode when he lamented that “six months ago we had health insurance,” referring to the fact that the Obamacare individual mandate had just been overturned.

You should have know then that it was thinly-veiled neo-Bolshevik propaganda.

Recommendations (from memory)

Wolf’s Call (France, Movie)
Money Heist (Spain, 4 seasons)
Dark (Germany, 3+ seasons)
Better Than Us (Russia, 2+ seasons)

Go with the natural audio and subtitles.

Although my recommendations may suck, I’m very picky and rarely complete a film nor series that gets stupid.

Thanks! Since you are into some foreign produced stuff, have you watched Fauda? It is an Israeli produced and themed spy thriller. Really well done.

Wife and I just deleted both New Amsterdam and Madame Secretary (thought we did it earlier but it was still there) from our DVR last night. I told her I don't want any semblance of viewership left behind. When we finally get better internet service (fiber is almost to our house), we are 'cutting the cord'.

On a slightly different note, for the first time ever, about a year and a half ago we bought season tickets to the Seattle Sounders. Then, lo and behold, they start getting into bed with the BLM thugs and putting it right in your face. I told Mrs. Copaliscrossing that we need to stop subsidizing that behavior and cancel our season tickets. To her credit, since she was the purchaser of the ticket, she called the Sounders and gave them a piece of her mind and told them why we were canceling. Unfortunately, we were a week late for refunds so we reluctantly kept them for the "season that never was" because of Covid. So now, once we use up the money we have spent on those tickets, we will have another phone call about why we are canceling.

We need more and more patriots to stand up and pull your dollars from these "woke" organizations and hopefully let them die the very death they deserve. Also make sure they explicitly know WHY you are pulling your dollars.

I’m not as big a fan of the British TV comedy, though I did ocassionally watch “As Time Goes By” and enjoyed it.

There are so many great British period pieces, full length, on YouTube, both movies and TV series. Glenda Jackson did a great series “Elizabeth R” from the 70’s. And there’s just too many to even list. For some reason the British are just excellent at acting, directing, scripts, sets, etc. And for the most part mostly mild action instead of CGI violence and bizarre occult happenings like Hollywood produces.
