I’ll wait and see. 1) Trump is not a fool and and knew what Pence was. 2) Trump was not forced to accept him.
So if Pence was bad Trump knew and had his reasons.
I agree that President Trump knew what Pence was because the military behind Trump’s candidacy knew what Pence was. I don’t know if Pence was a white hat who sometimes did things to make himself look like a black hat, if he was a black hat pretending to be a WH (I lean this way), or if he was a BH who was leveraged. But we do know that the swamp is very wide and very deep.
If Pence was a BH, PDJT knew it but took him on board because he believed he could manage him, believed Pence could not materially affect the plan, and probably thought he was the best of all of the possibilities. There were many who didn’t believe Candidate Trump was in the race for anything except self-promotion or that he could win, and Pence offered the veneer of political savoir-faire and gravitas. Looking back, I don’t know who else Candidate Trump might have chosen since so many R’s have since been exposed as full-out BH.
