You couldn’t get me to go to India on a bet. Everything I’ve ever read about that country indicates that it is filthy and unsanitary beyond belief. No wonder they are inundated with diseases. And people bathe in the same rivers where there are rotting corpses!
“You couldn’t get me to go to India on a bet.”
A woman in my town went to India 3-4 years ago for a business trip
First thing she noticed when walking down the plane is it smells bad everywhere you go
The body odor of the people was beyond belief.
The hotel sheets and pillowcases, though washed were brown stained from being old from countless peopole who had slept on them.
This is what I recall what she wrote though there was more.
My son's step father is Indian, and they took them to India for a visit. He developed a dysentery for a week. Something triggered a milk intolerance in his wife. He said it was the most disgusting and filthy place he has ever seen. They visited relatives of the stepfather. The kitchen was disgusting. They also touched the food with their hands in some sort of greeting.
I’ve been there, it is the filthiest country I’ve ever been to, worse than you can imagine. And seeing Indians in the US, H1B and otherwise, they need to go home and clean up their messed up country. We do not need the cultural tribalism and filth in the US.
I’ve been there a week on business in Pune. It’s not that bad a place and the people there are quite friendly. Food was terrific, but Lord they are either the worst drivers in the world, or the very best. The smell was no better or worse than Mainland China. Yes, you do see cows walking public roads, and piles of trash next to nice buildings. It’s kind of the Ph.D. of travel to go there. After a few days, I actually really enjoyed it there. My colleagues were great, and there is much to see with your eyes. The thing is to go with the right frame of mind. The worst part really was the Air India flight to New Delhi from Chicago. Long long flight and that did reek quite a bit. If I had to go again, I’d find another way.
