I get that the US is facing true threats. But let’s not skip over the above statement. It’s one thing to join the military to help defend the nation. But who would want to join just to help some dictator’s militia somewhere fight some other militia?
Heck, I don’t even know which side we’re on in Syria. No way would I want a child of mine to be serving in a situation like that.
A nation that sends its young people to Islamic sh!t-holes halfway around the world while at the same time allowing a full-scale invasion of third world peasants across its borders really isn’t to be taken seriously anymore.
