Joseph Hall said he was simply trying to go back home after his workday in Portland. However, he was soon involved in an armed standoff with militant leftists who had closed off roads as part of their protests against police brutality. Hall, a 53-year-old handyman, ended up in the hospital with several broken bones and other serious injuries after the black-clad militants severely beat him up.
While driving home in his red pickup truck, a moped allegedly cut him off. Then a man with a handheld radio instructed Hall to stop his truck. Hall claims that another vehicle blocked his path, "and all of a sudden I have three or four people around me." Some members of the group dressed in all black were armed, and pointed their rifles at Hall.
Hall told The Oregonian how the situation escalated quickly:
Hall said he grabbed hold of a non-lethal handgun that can shoot hard pellets to try to get the people to clear the way and hadn't realized there was a march until people circled his truck. He said he heard a woman outside on a megaphone yelling at the crowd to let him go, but the people continued to block his truck and call him a "Nazi."

I have no experience in this area, but people say that if you form a militia, some large percentage of your recruits will be FBI informants.
He got out because somebody slapped his truck, but that was a bad move.
Cops let the commies open carry, but not the patriots.
If he had some kind of a pellet gun, I don’t think you need a concealed-carry permit. Those aren’t legally classified as guns. I have a Byrna pepper-spray pistol, and it does not require a gun permit.
If armed militias go after Antifa then they had better be prepared to fight the police.

Pellet gun? Carry a 9mm. There is no reason to carry a pellet gun other than to give them an excuse to shoot.

Our own government takes the side of the criminals over and over again.
There’s a price to pay. I’d like to believe you’d eventually be absolved of wrongdoing but your life and fortune and sacred honor may be ruined ala Kyle Rittenhouse, God bless him.
We need the means and a place to archive all such street confrontations for several reasons:
1. To learn. We should also seek to gather as many details as possible so that other may learn how to better respond in the future.
2. As background evidence for when the eventual person uses counteractive and otherwise lethal force against such aggressions, where such videos can be used in their defense.
3. To provide video evidence of the perpetrators of these actions for future prosecutions and/or retribution.
The time has long since passed to complain about the double-standards, the lack of law enforcement, or the actions of the enemy. We must accept reality as it is presented to us. Anywhere can become a battlefield at any time one walks out the door. We are past ‘buy more guns’ and keeping your powder dry.
Realities must be accepted.
Courage must be acquired.
Intelligence must be gathered.
Actions must be taken.
Anything else is asking for repeated aggression.

I read the story and watched the video. He was on his way out of there when he got a hair up his butt and decided to get out and confront the thugs. Dumb, dumb, dumb. He stated that he had a concealed carry permit and a little .38 revolver and was facing greater than 10 thugs, one armed with a rifle. He should have sped out of the danger zone and if he wanted to be bad ass he could have turned around, achieved ramming speed, and taken out a whole bunch of antifaholes. Of course, hindsight is ALWAYS 20/20.

RE: FBI informants among the recruits.
Be especially suspicious of the ones joining up with you in the woods with camo t shirts and belts paired with pressed black suit pants and shiny black leather shoes.

The video would make a good lesson for others. Not sure about local laws there, but in my State he every right to fire his weapon.
The place is populated with and run by trashy foreigners, many of them only three or four generations removed from the uglier parts of Europe. It’s an unAmerican no-go zone full of garbage that oozed into California before flowing into Oregon. Most of the more western states are getting to be that way.
Everyone should just keep blissfully grazing...
