It wouldnt surprise me that many cruise lines are looking at the logistical problem of getting the crews back - many are from far-off places and they used some ships to take them back to India, Indonesia, and Philippines.

While the CDC looks to have made some concessions there is the risk its a head-fake and after recalling the crews the sips will remain dormant for another few months.

CDC and Fauci must be feeling so elated with the power they have to shutdown leisure times for the non-elites like myself. My 36 past cruises with 288 days spent sailing the oceans were the most enjoyable times in my life and less costly than land vacations with similar amenities. At age 81 time is fast running out for me to go cruising. I hope our next cruise booked in mid-September does not get cancelled, but I won’t hold my breath.

The CDC can also mess with the cruise lines via Airlines bringing passengers to the USA , back from CDC selected countries and Caribbean Islands the CDC selected as covid hot spots.

That will rough up some of those cruisers who flew out of this country to get on a cruise ship and avoid the CDC regulations.

You can leave this country, but you might have some CDC hurdles to re-enter the USA- you selfish potential covid spreader.-Tom
