Will not eat chicken...
One extremely hot summer (100 degrees mostly - CT) before my freshman year of HS, worked on a chicken farm killing chickens with a hook knife, dipping them into hot water, and ripping off their feathers with a foot-driven rubber paddle wheel...
10-cents an hour, 10-hours-per-day, and unlimited stench from 25,000 chickens that no amount of soap & water could eliminate...
Here it is 75-years later and, still, I will not eat chicken...

My mom had a similar experience with canned food. She worked in a cannery in Portland one summer. She refused to buy canned vegetables and fruit from then on.

My dad worked on a farm with chickens when he was young. He said “anyone who’d eat a chicken would eat a buzzard!” He hated chicken.
