A band of “anticolonial” and racist activists have “liberated” land high in the Colorado mountains to build a utopian city for minorities. Commenters are expecting a rerun of the Jonestown cult, but with more anti-Semitism.
While they’ve been pushing Farrakhan-style racism on Twitter and getting stuck into charity work on the streets, Black Hammer’s members have been stockpiling cash. A GoFundMe campaign organized by the group has pulled in nearly $65,000 since last July. The group wants $500,000 to build a city of their own, with free healthcare, free rent, and no cops. White people and Jews are presumably not welcome.
On Monday, the group announced that it had “successfully liberated 200 Acres of Land to build our City,” adding that their real-life Wakanda would be “FOR COLONIZED PEOPLE ONLY."
Many commenters foresaw the experiment crashing down before the crops inevitably fail. Some compared it to 2017’s Fyre Festival, a ‘luxury’ music festival in the Bahamas that promised guests an A-list experience but left them fighting over food in a makeshift tent village. Others predicted that ‘Hammer City’ would end in a Jonestown-style tragedy.
“They’re going to end up eating each other by October,” one commenter jeered.

Reports are that this “city” is located at 10,000 feet above sea level, and is snowbound eight or nine months of the year. Prediction: Like Seattle’s CHAZ experiment, this project will more resemble a homeless encampment than a city, will depend entirely on outside donations, will quickly degenerate into squalor and dissention, and will be abandoned within weeks or months.
Congrats on including Donner Party in the keywords.
That could well be the final stage here....
Jonestown redux? How about Donner Party?
Gavin McGinness and Anthony Cumia did a riff on these people on censored.tv a day or two ago. It was hilarious, needless to say.
I knew a guy who was a world class runner in college. He and his parents were at Pike’s Peak. He ran the trail while they drove.
They got turned around by the rangers because of an incoming storm.
The runner got the the top (intending to ride down in the car) to find the place empty.
He turned around and ran back down the peak.
A few years later, my daughter, who was going to school at the time called all excited because she drove up Pike’s Peak. Then she said she might nave blown her trans in the process. Fortunately it was a minor repair. (yea, I actually had a minor transmission repair)
Well, they can kiss that money goodbye.
Fool, money, parted
So basically they are homeless demanding others put up the money for their “everything”...... Yeah, heard all of this before.
Like when the goofballs at CHAZ in Portland tried to grow their own food on a plastic sheet covered in like 4 inches of dirt. Maybe it was a 4X8 sheet, enough to feed a small master even if they did manage to grow anything at all.
Why are they planning to keep the land for themselves instead of returning it to whatever Indian tribe lived there in 1492?
Ok that’s funny.
But the real snowflakes will last into June.
That comment brought Alferd Packer to mind.
That was funny when they “played farm”; how long before any plant was going to feed anyone? Theater for the cameras, nothing more.
