Of course you dont understand what you are talking about. If he had health insurance, there is a contractual payment to the health care facility and physicians that cover the costs. That contractual payment satisfies all of the care, and the patient is only billed if he has deductible. He has no health insurance. The dive away is the attempt of the facility to get him registered with medicaid. That is called medicaid pending, and is used for the uninsured.

You are wrong. period.

no, he said that he doesn’t have health insurance by design, intentionally defaults on the balance due to the hospital, and then pays a collection agency because it’s cheaper that way.

. . . and he said that he does this because he doesn’t like “handouts”.
