"The Logical Song" is a song by the English rock group Supertramp that was released as the lead single from their album Breakfast in America in March 1979. It was written primarily by the band's Roger Hodgson, who based the lyrics on his experiences being sent away to boarding school for ten years. The song became Supertramp's biggest hit, rising to No. 6 on the US Billboard chart.

An iconic album released just as disco began to decline in popularity. It was a nice change of pace though Roger Hodgson’s voice grates, a lot.

“Take the Long Way Home” is in my opinion a far superior track than “The Logical Song” or the insipid “Goodbye Stranger”. 42 years later it is still great for a Sunday drive alone just to gather one’s thoughts and to take in the scenes of the countryside.

Does anyone eat smoked herring for breakfast? Certainly never heard of that as breakfast in Texas.

They were so good.

Crimes of the Century was their best imo. School the best song.

Oh no!

I see the evil Mrs. Butterworth is included in the NYC mock-up!

She has been banned as well since she might be mistaken for an old black mammy.

Ban Supertramp!

I’ve had them with eggs. I wouldn’t say it’s necessarily common around here. It’s just something I heard about and thought I would try.

Another thing that’s weird is the English newspapers.

Oxford? Glasgow? Is this in America much less NYC?

There is a category,of song that you liked but really dont want to hear much again.

This one falls into that for me. Just heard it way too much in the past.
