I doubt there’s anyone left in the Pentagon who actually fought anywhere. Maybe just a few months REMF duty in the ME to get that all-important ticket punch.
It’s funny: all these wonderful progressives in uniform seem to have never even heard of Tarawa or New Guinea or Okinawa or Vietnam. No recognition of the filth, heat, humidity and raw brutality involved with combat in crappy climates.
Do they really believe that war has changed? Can they even imagine what going for days, week, even months in those conditions are like (if you survive)?
Why do they think we have had those very short hair cuts - style?
