The new regulations were a huge win for women who have said the formerly-required bun got in the way of equipment like helmets, and made it difficult to perform their jobs.
Well, your hair certainly wouldn't be a problem when you're cooking in the kitchen, now would it?
(Just kidding ladies, thanks for your service, now go make me a sammich. š)
Pingy
I hope it doesn’t get caught in the machinery.
Didn’t realize the Army differentiated between men and women. If women can wear pony tails, the men should also be allowed.
All the male needs to do is declare himself a woman.
Even in the Cavalry?
How can one be sure if one is a man or a woman? Who knows one may be minding oneās own business when suddenly the gender fluid fairy strikes.
All the male needs to do is declare himself a woman.
= = =
Well, just WHERE is his Pony Tail?
“Does your hair hang low? Does it hang below your shoulder like a Continental soldier? Does your hair hang low???”
Or grabbed by some bad dudes.
Bidenās Army.

“Or grabbed by some bad dudes.”
I’m a retired prison guard. I kept my hair short for just that reason and our ties were break-away.
Next they’ll need to cover the tails.
On another thought.... Pony tails are infiltrating every women’s areas now, so I guess the ‘other genders’ can do the same. lol Now the enemy will know the ones they really hate.
Good bye, the great crew cut image we loved.
My battalion's primary mission was short range air defense for Hahn, Bitburg, and Spangdahlem air bases. Couldn't have asked for a better assignment. The battery at Hahn was 40 miles from battalion HQ, which was awesome. During alerts, the firing batteries were put under the command of the Air Force Wing Commander...iow, our higher hq couldn't screw with us during those 4-5 days, which I thought was awesome.
IIRC, our battalion was deactivated in the mid-90s.
The camel’s nose is under the tent.
Extra points if you can find a Seinfeld reference to this thread.
Make’s it easier to grab in hand to hand combat, I would guess. (like a handle).
