This was way before the interwebs and search engines so...it took a while to get it right.
I can’t believe it’s been that long.
She was my favorite country start at the time.
I recall part of Crystal’s stage presence meant she had very long brunette hair. It was Rapunzel like.
She looked nothing like her older sister Loretta Lynn.
I used to get Crystal and Shaina Twain mixed up.
Great tune
dunno why but this song jumped into my head...
BTW, how was you birthday dinner?
Thanks for asking PROCON. FABULOUS ME and my baby (daughter 39.) at Andiamos in Fenton Michigan. Great food and conversation reminiscing about family and life.
Thanks for serving. I’d love to get up to Washington one day before I pass on. Been up the coast of Cali to Frisco and then went back east to Michigan when the kids were little.
Met a gal in college with long Crystal Gayle hair.
I offered to help her wash it in the shower.
Yeah, our 'babies' grow up way too fast.
I'm glad to be able to see my 2 babies too on occasion.
Black/dark hair with blue eyes? Hellya make them eyes turn blue. That’s my favorite.
What?
I recall seeing her and Burt Reynolds together on a talk show. Even without that gorgeous mane of hair she was a knockout! Burt had already done his gig, then she came out and sang her hit song. Burt was practically drooling at her afterwards and then asked her “So, are you married and are you happy?” She responded with yes on both counts. I dunno who was more broken hearted-me or Burt...
lol! Typical Burt, used to having the pick of the litter 24/7. What else was she supposed to say up there on a lit up stage?
Burt, like his pals Jerry Reed and Dom Deluise had great comic timing and delivery.
Detest country self pity songs as a rule, but really enjoyed her singing.
I thought the song was prescient about what happens to Democrats who believe and spout their leftist crap.
#5. If you’ve ever seen Shania Twain perform, you won’t ever confuse her with Crystal Gayle ( who is a very beautiful woman and talented singer). Twain owns the stage, the band, the audience and her songs.
One of the best singing performances I’ve ever seen.
I saw her perform at the Opry about five years ago. She still sounded great.
