I was triggered by another poster who wrote, "Send in the Clowns". This reminded me of Frank Sinatra singing the song of the same name. I recall vividly, as a youngster, listening to 'Ol Blue Eyes is Back, watching the album spin on the turntable and me singing the song.
Those were the days people had a wide variety of musical tastes. You could listen to standards on the radio, rock-n-roll, country and western and more while holding all of that in common with multiple generations.
Here is the full album at the link.
I was having a late lunch (best cheeseburger ever) today at the “Place Across The Street Diner” in Corsicana. They were playing nothing but Frank Sinatra on the sound system.

Thanks
I bet that brought back some memories. Did you find people singing?
It’s instructive to look at the Billboard Hot 100 during the ‘60s-’80s. Rock, Pop, Soul, Country, Dance, and Easy Listening and Instrumental hits all sharing the same chart.
Makes today even more depressing! :)

One of my favorite memories is seeing Frank live in concert. He had Pia Zadora & don rickles w/ him. I went with my mother & will never forget it.
Only Frank was singing. There was just a few customers and several people coming in to pick up take out orders.
It’s Still Frank’s world...we just get to live in it...

Did you notice how fast it went to hell after he died?
The recent film Bladerunner 2049 has a cool scene with a Sinatra cameo. He appears as a hologram in a futuristic jukebox:

Thank you. I went to his last concert in NYC. It was so great to see him live but you knew he was deteriorating.
It was bittersweet. So glad I took my Mom and Godmother to see him. They were his biggest fans.
