Births are down (see above) due to the Coronahoax. This is devastating. There are about 4 million babies born every year in the USA. If the 8% hoaxdemic drop is accurate then that is 320 thousand babies per year who were not born because of the Coronahoax. There are around 500k deaths attributed to Coronavirus. Most are lies due to false attribution. Most are 70+ years old.

The loss of over 300k new Americans is much worse demographically than the fact 80 year olds are dying at 80 instead of 82. I know theologically all lives are equal. But God said to go forth and multiply and the Catholic Church (I assume other non-Muslim religious denominations feel the same) recognizes that a nation has to make prudential judgements that serve to make it stronger. This means the Government should never have stoked fear about this hoax and it definitely shouldn’t have instituted a lockdown to make it harder financially for young couples to have kids.

Bottom line is the government (state and federal) has made things much worse for the USA by their actions. Leaders who actually want a strong USA need to be put in place.

And an additional point - the Malthusian, climate-change-fearing losers on the left are loving this news.

Deaths from heart disease were up a bit (just under 32,000).
Deaths from cancer held steady.
Unintentional injuries and strokes went up a little as well.

However, it’s also important to look at NYC early in the pandemic, where deaths from heart disease, stroke, and dementia suddenly jumped up with no explanation, then suddenly went back to normal once COVID-19 tests became available. Based on what we know now about who COVID-19 kills and how it kills them, those unexplained jumps in deaths were likely COVID-19, but nobody even knew what to look for at the time.

Some have mentioned drug overdoses as well. I haven’t seen the data on drug overdoses, but a 20% jump over 2019 would yield 14,000 additional deaths.

Another number to look at is deaths per 100,000 people. This number has been between 8 and 9 since 1974. In 2020, based on the preliminary numbers, it’s 10.4. It was 8.7 in 2017, 2018, and 2019. It was 8.6 in 2016. The last time it was above 8.7 was 1988 when it was 8.9. The last time it was above 10.3 was 1943 (World War II). In 1918 (Spanish Flu) it hit 13.9, so much higher then.
