No, I wasn’t. I’m referring to the political hacks in here that are pushing an agenda against masks. You trust your doctor...I trust mine.

I’m just an engineer but also apparently a political hack!

If a chain link fence can’t stop a mosquito, why would a mask stop a virus? The ratios of the mesh and the particle seem equivalent (to me at least). The mesh opening is much much larger than the particle.

Also, if masks do work for viruses, why haven’t we been under some mask protocol every flu season? (Although if I heard correctly, Obergruppenführer Fauci has been making noises in that vein recently)

As far as the above goes, some doctors are afraid to say anything against what the government has ordered them to say and what the CDC says. My doctors don’t fear that.

I was told in 2008 by my pulmonary specialist to always wear one during flu season. I was wearing one in winter long before anybody heard about covid.

Fast forward to now. Since covid I have been told, after asking, that masks are effective but only partially if they are worn correctly and worn by other people that you are around. No doctor has claimed they are 100%. I asked my dentist. He said the same thing my doctors did. I asked my dog’s Vet. He said the same thing my doctors did. None of them are in fear from the government if they tell you the truth.

I have never come in here and said masks are 100% and I think everybody should wear one because they are not and not everybody needs to wear one. Kids don’t. If you are outside you don’t. If you are in a vehicle you don’t. All I have ever said is that in a crowded area they COULD give some protection. Some is better than none. Saying they don’t or saying they do 100% are both irresponsible statements.

I will believe my local doctors and other professionals until they tell me not to wear one or when the doctors and nurses in hospitals stop wearing them.
