worried about inflation and the EBS with possible electrical grid shutdowns...DH got a nice 5000 watt generator for our dtr and her husband...they live out and need some source for their freezer and refrigerator should power go down...
I just recently got my electrical service upgraded and got an 8,000 watt generator hooked in. It’s a portable, which I wanted, much less expensive. It’ll run the entire house. Has a manual transfer switch but I like it like that, I want the control. Most of our big ticket electrical items run non propane so 8k can run everything, even my pool pump! It has a cover I bought for it that can stay on it when it’s running and keep the rain off it at all times.
