Penguin6 (daily tour guide of DC) is delighted today.

The White House is back and rather sparkling.

Lafayette Square is now open across the street from the White House, the street itself and the streetside sidewalk are pristine, no more obtrusive seige-like fencing, no NG in camera sight, the shiny black iron fence, lovely green lawn and water fountain flowing is open to view and no sign of “construction” equipment on the grounds.

Mission accomplished?
