I would consider it for a 500k bribe, after taxes, but for a million I might forgo further bribe negotiations.
The way I figure it is that I can’t sue Big Pharma for side effects since they are indemnified—so the million dollar bribe is just paying me in advance for any damages...no harm, then I get a windfall, just like Big Pharma.
That is what I call an equal playing field.
