As they continue to use these “emergency” alerts for mundane nonsense, people will stop paying attention to them. I was in Anaheim last summer and kept getting them telling me to wear a mask.

I'm surprised at the level of hesitancy in LA county: this is maskaren central. It's very common to see one of them driving alone in a car, wearing two masks.

I would have thought that they would all be beating down the doors to get the jab.

In all fairness, the messaging has been terrible. First they were concerned with equity "let's give it to the blacks first". Understandably that went over like a lead balloon, not least of all with the African American community. There was very much a "naw, you go on ahead first", that was perfectly predictable to anyone who wasn't in love with the Democrat narrative.
