It's going to be too bad if they ever need police or fire protection.
In Colonial Philadelphia, you had to purchase fire insurance to get the fire brigades to put out your house fire. You put an emblem on your house to show you were insured. I see this same feature in our future -- you put out an emblem showing support for police and fire departments in order to get their services.
"Can you tell me that address again? Yeah, we can be there next week."

And, of course, if your local P.D. is all Wokey McWokerson, some emblems will be more important than others.
If the local conservatives do not burn them out, it is a missed opportunity.
This needs to be stopped.
This is already done in rural fire districts. If a person is not paid up on their taxes the fire department will only prevent the fire from spreading off the property.
