When I went to school in TX seeing a kid get paddled by a teacher was a daily occurrence, no big deal. Sometimes it was several kids a day getting paddled in front of the entire class. In Jr. and Sr. High, they took you down to the office to get X number of swats by the Boys Assistant Principal.

I draw the line when the Paddler has a boner while doing it. I think we can all agree on that
