I tried to watch Amazon’s movie “Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse.” What a pile of dog excrement. Gave up after half and hour. Nothing but by-the-numbers revenge porn and a plot line to inflame the public about Russia. There’s a slight “anti-CIA” subplot in it to try to make you believe that a CIA writer didn’t write the screenplay.
The movie had absolutely nothing to do with the original book except the name of the impossibly competent and lucky “hero”.
Intelligence agencies control the major media. And they have been ordered to forward the “Russia is our enemy” meme.
I see that Amazon strived to fill their "POC quota" by having blacks fill the two lead character positions. Nowhere in Clancy's books is there a hint of John Clark being black.
Didn’t bother watching it ‘cuz it was obviously woke BS.
But I remember trying to watch the Jack Ryan series.
In the first show, he is working with the French. They are trying to surprise some terrorists in their apartment. The Froggies go storming right past some Muzzie kids on the way to the apartment. I knew what happened next - the kids dialed the terrorists and things went pair shaped.
Never bothered watching it again. I bet Clancy would be appalled what they made his movies in to.
Then again, maybe not. He let Hollyweird butcher Patriot Games.
The wife and I fought our way through this debacle, and at the end, before I could say anything, my wife said, “What the hell was that about, and what the hell was that ending?”
She and I have both read many of the Tom Clancy novels. Early on she said, “So far the only thing from the book to this movie is the character’s name.”
That was one SAD excuse of a movie, plot, and ending!

Thanks for the review. It’s probably my favorite of his Novels—and two of the movies made from other novels in certain aspects manage to transcend the books.
The Hunt for Red October is all round outstanding,
And the juxtaposition of the funeral eulogy and the ambush in Clear and Present Danger is absolutely brilliant and couldn’t be done in the medium of a book.
