In defense of the Utah GOP Romney did lose the Caucus vote. Unfortunately since he came in second the voters in Utah voted for him in the primary ( where Romney likely won because the other guy was not nearly as well known).

Or Romney won, because he owns the company that makes the voting machines that count the ballots in Utah.

I read somewhere by someone who claimed to be an expert that the vote between Romney and the other guy was flipped but I have read no follow-up on it. It would be interesting if true.
