Proposition B defeated by a thin margin after more than 150,000 votes are cast

Proposition B has failed. The San Antonio Police Department will keep collective bargaining moving forward.

The final vote tally is as follows:

For: 73,306

Against: 76,781

Total Votes Cast: 150,087

Governor Greg Abbott weighed in on the race, tweeting the following:

SAPOA released the following statement to us:

We want to thank the people of San Antonio. Tonight they voted to support their police officers, protect our right to collective bargaining,
and ensured that we can continue to keep our neighborhoods safe. To the people of San Antonio we say- we’ve always had your back, tonight you had ours.

Barely made the news, this is the only local news that dedicated an entire article to this.
The rest of the media here ignored it or had a tiny sentence reporting it.
It's a shame only 10 per cent of the voters came out for this.

I believe that any and all public employees have no business at all in being part of any labor union. None what-so-ever.

They based their entire campaign on this being a “defund the police” bill. It had absolutely none of that in it. The liars won again.
