Ahhh, all questions answered.

My wife was 32 when she had our boys. Until she met me she hadn’t met anyone she wanted to have children with.
It was the second marriage for us both.
I’ve known people who have had later life “surprise” babies.

My paternal grandparents met later in life than usual. They were in their 30’s when my dad, first of four, was born.

My maternal grandparents were another matter.
Grandpa Charles was 40 when he married granny Clara who was 20. Seems like every two years granny Clara gave birth to a child until they had 10 children. My mom was the baby and grandpa was 60 and granny 40 when she was born.
Doubtless there would have been more children but granny had leukemia and died 11 years later.
I never knew her but she must have been one tough old gal.

Women have an easier time bearing children in their later years, if they have already had kids earlier.
