there’s two sides to every story.
My husband would have been happy to bring his mother to live with us- but not lift a finger to take care of her.
That would have been on me- and no way I would have as she treated me so poorly when i was around her.
She went to a nursing home after getting herself into 135,000 in debt. She lost a paid off house. No one knows where the money went.
I don’t think i should have been punished because she lived irresponsibly.

I am so sorry to hear about your experience.
Things get crazy when our parents die, especially if there is money involved.
Been there; still there.
Almost considering suing my sister; way too long of a story.
