But the victim still had to pay for the gas.

Has the EPA arrested him for spilling fuel?!
I was thinking something along the same lines. It used to come up when wasp and hornet spray was suggested as defensive weapon anyone could legally have at hand (like a school teacher, for example). Oh no we were told, stiff EPA penalties for using it in an unapproved manner.

That was very good.... I liked how the guy filling up his car picked up on the problem in a millisecond and started taking the right action. And he didn’t let up even as they were leaving with their door open!
I had a bad experience at a gas station recently... I put the switch on the pump handle so that it would continue to fill while I washed the front window. All of a sudden I could hear splashing and realized that the pump switch didn’t click it off. I won’t make the mistake of using that thing again. They are generally foolproof but this was the one time it didn’t work....

    Nice pump pressure
*********
Yep never seen that kind of pressure at a pump. But he used
it to a big advantage and I bet the perps are wishing they
wouldn’t have felt it either. They have a mess to clean up
in that van.
I suspect they may also get a call from the police before its
all said and done.

Too bad there wasn't a flare pistol handy for a final parting gift.

Everyone is aware gasoline evaporates? Now a lingering odor inside, that’s a little tougher, but they deserve it.

    Awesome technique...
He had the pump on full auto...
Only possible addition would have been to have someone else, in a car, chase down the van and fire a flare gun at the van...

Just for the record, Dawn is great for removing oil from birds caught in oil slicks, and it also is great at removing natural oils from birds feathers, rendering them vulnerable to getting waterlogged and sinking. Just another brilliant idea from your nitwit greenie friends.
