Just for the record, Dawn is great for removing oil from birds caught in oil slicks, and it also is great at removing natural oils from birds feathers, rendering them vulnerable to getting waterlogged and sinking. Just another brilliant idea from your nitwit greenie friends.
I saw a documentary showing just that activity; saving wild geese by washing the oil away with Dawn soap.
I admit that seeing that documentary convinced me to start buying Dawn for my own use. not that I own any wild geese.
