At least they did not say it was a “once in a century storm”.

I hate that term.

When I was in college we had two “once in a century flooding events”.

You can do that math. Hyperbole at its finest.

Actually, that’s correct, that’s the way it works. Once in a century is the probability, but it happen twice in a row.

We had a once in a century river runoff in the Colorado River near my house one year. The next year we had a once in 500 years runoff.

We’ve had several once in a century great floods. They’re getting more and more frequent. Didn’t have them when actual humans were doing the monitoring but the problems came with technology and the humans moved a 100 miles away into cubicles.
