I used to buy a small bottle at the grocery store one at a time then I saw some in an asian market 4X the quantity at the same price. So I get it and our soy sauce there now. Love it in our house too, especially in pho soup and hot n sour soup, also if I buy a bag of those big LingLing potstickers I beef up the sauce packets they give you. I use our dried cayenne peppers and put them in bottle with usually sunflower oil After it sits out for several days it goes in the fridge.

Anything ‘ethnic’ that you want to buy - and even a lot of other things - are all going to be much less expensive in an Asian or Hispanic or some other ethnic store.

It doesn’t go for band-name American prepared stuff - those are always MORE expensive than at your local supermarket. But the ethnic stuff is always a lot cheaper.

(A lot of them will still butcher meat and fish to your specification, as well.)
