Former Sen. Harry Reid thinks Lockheed Martin may have UFO fragments

Former Nevada Sen. Harry Reid believes US defense contractor Lockheed Martin may have once had fragments of a crashed UFO in its possession, it was revealed Friday.

Reid, 81, told The New Yorker that he had never actually seen proof of the remnants — but tried, unsuccessfully, to get approval from the Pentagon to find them.

“I was told for decades that Lockheed had some of these retrieved materials,” the Democrat told the magazine.

“And I tried to get, as I recall, a classified approval by the Pentagon to have me go look at the stuff. They would not approve that,” Reid continued. “I don’t know what all the numbers were, what kind of classification it was, but they would not give that to me.”

True. We've sent probes out to the Moon, Mars and other planets, sure I can see that.

The other thing I consider is that if indeed we have been visited by extraterrestrial civilizations it isn't the rule they'd be friendly. In nature the smart animals are the predators. They have to be smart, cunning and ruthless. Sending out the "Hello, here we are!'' might just be ringing a dinner bell.

Yeah and we should be careful. There's no guarantee that some alien civilization is going to be all that friendly. They might consider us to be easy pickings.

What would they want us for? Any entities of an very advanced nature wouldn’t need us for resources, labor or anything else. The only thing that would matter would be curiosity.

What would they need us for? We're chock full of good stuff. Minerals for one.

Things like gold, silver, copper. Who knows? Maybe they might even want to harvest us and the rest of the fauna down here. If indeed we have been visited and currently are being visited they would no doubt know we have nukes. Consider also that if they have been watching us they also know we are violent and war like and have no compunction about waging war on ourselves and that we have used nukes offensively before. They might be inclined to avoid us. Not so much out of intimidation necessarily but more a desire not to get caught up in our squabbles.

He must know he’s going to die soon, talking about this stuff so concretely. No one else does or has, as far as I can remember.

In 1939 or 40, when my late husband was 10 or 11 he and a playmate saw a flying saucer. This was in the country 6 miles from Iowa City where I think Dr. Van Allen was starting his physics work on Van Allen Belts. Of course, it was also just before WWII began for us. They were playing in bottom land of the Iowa River and they saw this glowing round red object rise up out of the valley, then it suddenly shot very fast over the surrounding hills and disappeared. They looked at each other, “What the heck was that.” Adults did not believe them so he never talked about it again until a number of years after our marriage when the subject of flying saucers was in the news. Then he told me about his early experience. The beginning of a major war, with the visibility of surface mobilizations would have been interesting to aliens, also any strange energies eminating from universities and businesses. At any rate he believed he saw what he saw.

Interesting point, but then imagine bringing a person from 100-200 years ago to the present day and show them automobiles, planes, rockets, utilities and home appliances. They would probably be amazed by such incredibly advanced technology and then be dumbfounded to learn about the thousands of people who did from accidents related to these scientific marvels.

If alien visitors and UFOs are here, it doesn’t mean they are gods, perfect or immortal. Rather it just means they are more technologically advanced but every bit as susceptible to making mistakes as we are.

I have an open mind too. There is a very compelling series on the History channel called The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch. Season 2 begins on Tuesday.

You can go to the History channel's website and watch the eight episodes of season 1. I got hooked on it yesterday.....

Linda Moulton Howell was sent a bunch of flying saucer parts by Art Bell in 1995. The whole thing was called “Art’s Parts”.

She tested them and found them to be exactly what I predicted: mostly aluminum alloy, all materials available in 1947, and that it would be sinterized.

The prevailing hypothesis about Skinwalker Ranch is that it has some sort of portal to another dimension on site.

Terence McKenna used to always say that the universe is not only stranger than we imagine, it is stranger than we can imagine.

Most folks refuse to learn the most important lesson—which is humility.

Human beings are not the center of the universe and we are not the most intelligent life-form in the universe—not even close.

Once we _get_ that, then we can start to meet our potential and realize that today’s science will be seen in a hundred years as crude prejudice and ignorance.

Until the governments of the world and the naysayers can explain the yet inexplicable, then I have no choice but to believe these accounts are indeed advanced technology from either this world or elsewhere........
