An astounding number of young people pose a real danger to the public, at the drop of a hat.
Many of us recently saw an online video of a young teenage girl brandishing a knife, large enough to be a deadly weapon, attempting to stab another young girl. Just in the nick of time, a police officer shot the attacker, who died.
While this is the most extreme video I've seen, there are many other instances of similar behavior, mostly unrecorded by media.

Bear in mind that the military learned a long time ago that training a combat infantryman requires more than physical conditioning. Experience has shown that men, even in the heat of combat, their own lives in peril, will hesitate — will actually hesitate — to shoot at a charging enemy. Why? Because most of us find the thought of killing anyone repulsive enough to risk our own lives to avoid ending another's. As soldiers, our mindset needs to be changed.
Yet, with no formal military training, an astounding number of young people pose a real danger to the public, at the drop of a hat.

Other incidents involve only destruction of property, such as trashing a fast food restaurant because of dissatisfaction with a meal. By comparison, that seems minor, but one should find it inconceivable conduct.
Everyone has a theory of how it came to this, and about how much worse it will get. Videogames, rap music, and depictions of violence in movies — all have some influence. Fatherless households are surely a significant factor. No one of these, however, can entirely explain the unmoored mindset of so many young people.

Fatherless homes, ADD drugs in schools, no education in Christianity and morality, indoctrination in hate.
That is a great article. I see you are a fan of American Thinker, as I am. I appreciate seeing people post their content here, helps get the word out to a great site.
Could it have something to do with the fact that God has been expelled from public life and that government has put itself in God’s place? Government is not the proper teacher of right and wrong. Government exists to propagate itself, and rewards anything that gives government more power, and punishes whoever detracts from the government’s ability to amass all power, all wealth, all control, unto itself.
You hit the target...
There is a lot that goes into it.
1 - Parents let video games and TV raise their kids. Not as much family time as there used to be. Technology and the internet expose them to a bunch. Not talking about ALL parents. I see a lot of good ones..
2 - Social media could be included I guess in #1 but with social media there is more bullying than there used to be. I used to say we were mostly all bullied when we were kids so quit being soft. But when I was a kid and got bullied at school then I had a escape at home or with my friends. Now with social media they get bullied from all angles, at school and at home on line. And people can gang up on line and a child gets no escape.
3 - Seems to be no real accountability for these kids. They get away with a lot more. And they are desensitized to violence.
4 - The media reports on certain things more than they used to. No feel good stories anymore. Shootings and stabbings maybe reported more than they used to.
Likely more reasons.
American Thinker? No comments? No read.
Yes AT will usually have several articles that interest me where many others have none. Rush used to discuss their articles occasionally. That was how I found it. I usually start my day there.
Young people. The youths. We know what that means.
Listen to the lyrics of the drivel that passes for music for the past 30+ years of hip hop and that is just a small visible segment of the ghetto culture.
The miracle is that a Ben Carson can even escape such a background {his mother, nor all black women} were not included in the beginning rant.
If there is a solution, I don't know what it is.
I pray, but that is not enough.
It's gonna take a miracle.

Be careful about publicizing it. The left will make it a holiday.
