With his former college coach, Urban Meyer, now in Jacksonville, the Heisman Trophy winner apparently is looking at unretiring from football.
The Jaguars recently worked out Tebow and have had discussions with him about signing, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports. The team plans to try him at tight end.
Tebow last played in a regular-season football game in 2012, only one season after Tebowmania took the NFL by storm. Following one season with the Jets, however, the 2010 first-round pick of the Broncos failed to make a 53-man roster despite opportunities with the Eagles and Patriots.

He’s very entrepeneurial in what he’s doing. I admire that. He’s not too proud to consider the least position on a team, just to get on.
At 33 and not having played all that many reps in the NFL, his body might be good for a few seasons. But I agree with you, forget about the concussions.

ROTFLMAO!!
Obviously you don’t know what you are talking about!
If only he had agreed to go straight to being a tight end at the very beginning. He could have had a good career in that position. Might have even made a Pro Bowl or two.
Just read in the news today that Urban Meyer bought a house in Tim Tebow’s neighborhood here in Jax.

Not sure if this is true but the Mets release Tebow and NFL people wanted him to move to Tight End for years.
He didn’t want to make the move. If he’s willing to try it now, I wish him luck.
Tebow is a great guy and people love his work outside of sports.
Love Tebow! Despise NFL. With or without him, I’ll never watch another game.
Have you ever considered doing the same thing?
They (NFL teams) wanted him to be a TE the whole time he was playing. And now he decides to do it?
He could be dangerous at tight end, but not as a blocker. As a receiver who can also throw and be an emergency QB he brings an interesting skill set to the table.
I haven’t watched football in years but I hope he gets signed, it will massively tick off all liberals.
I wish he would have considered this year 1. But it is his life. I think he could have been awesome, A TE who can throw
I thought he had Ed Podalak potential !
He's 31 trying to break back into the NFL in a position he's never played, competing against men five years younger with years as tight ends. He's not proud, he's delusional.
Don't I?
I have a life, and would suggest you try it as well.
College hero, pro f-up.
That is an interesting comment.
May we see your data . . . just for the purpose of validating your credentials to serve as Tebow's life coach.
....and he could kneel down...and they can’t ban it. (May not stop nfl from trying)
