I have been in industry for over 20 years.
The OSHA regs are written in blood.
I have seen injuries, some horrific, by people who thought they were smarter than OSHA. Until they weren’t.
Same with the NFPA regs. Like it or not, they exist because someone was injured or died.
Yup. Sounds about right to me. Vaccine required to work is an employer enforced condition. Therefore recordable.
It was and is also recordable if an employee gets Covid-19.
Under OSHA’s recordkeeping requirements, COVID-19 is a recordable illness, and thus employers are responsible for recording cases of COVID-19, if: The case is a confirmed case of COVID-19, as defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC);[2]May 19, 2020

An interesting discussion at my company is “IF an employee is injured at a home office doing work related activities, is it still recordable?”
Not cutting yourself making lunch, but carpal tunnel.
Doesn’t apply to me. We were deemed essential and spent the lock down going to work every day, but for some of the HQ and support staff, HSE is setting up guidelines for home office spaces in anticipation of some of these guys never going back.
There is a signed consent, it is just electronic.
Yes it is recordable and compensatable under WC. If the employee is spending time is a designated home office space typing for the employer, it is recordable. The employer is responsible for assuring all ergonomic protections are available to employees working from home.
Then either they let me inspect and control the home office, or they come into work.
I am not going to assume the risk.
Again, my role is not a work from home thing, so it will be interesting.
I was employed as a medical transcriptionist for 2 major hospital systems in Phoenix for 14 years. They never sent anybody over to our homes to check out our work space to make sure it was ergonomically correct. They also didn’t provide us with any equipment other than the PC and a dictation unit. Instead they gave us “handouts.” 🤣
