A very interesting documentary, about how Australia dealt with the Spanish flu pandemic.

Spanish Flu was in a whole different category than COVID. 30% fatality rate. People dropping dead on their front porches a few hours after the first symptoms and the corpses laying there for days.

Getting COVID is more like getting a case of the 1968 Hong Kong Flu. In 1968, folks just got on with it. No masks. No lockdowns. No insane overreaction to a virus that was a bit worse than the regular old flu.
