I remember it.

That is back in the days when FM Stereo radio was like a secret club.

I think I would rather have seen BTO than J. Geils.

Saw them three times...the original line up in an arena, the second time in a nightclub...new line-up at an outdoor festival. My girlfriend (at the time) caught the towel at the arena show, and I caught it at the nightclub show...not a matching set. :-)

I saw Foghat open for Blue Oyster Cult back in the early 80s.

It was awesome.

Still lasted longer than the Ford Pinto you drove around listening to it on the player.

Willie Dixon and Muddy Waters obviously stole the song for covers and were never criticized for cultural appropriation for using the Foghat hippie culture music.
Or something. (Kidding)

In real life the influential blues composer and performer Willie Dixon was able to sue Led Zeppelin for stealing his melody on another hit song——
In 1987, Dixon reached an out-of-court settlement with the rock band Led Zeppelin after suing for plagiarism in the band’s use of his music in “Bring It On Home” and lyrics from his composition “You Need Love” (1962) in the band’s recording of “Whole Lotta Love”.

I saw them at the “Carl Casper” auto show at the IMA arena in Flint, MI. Circa 1987-88.

Rest in peace Lonesome Dave and Rod Price..... and Tony Travaglini. A friend of mine who was diagnosed with liver and spinal cancer right at the time Lonesome Dave died from his kidney cancer. Tony had just completed his Master’s Degree when he got the news. Just one of those associations you get in life.
